Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her aid and commitment to increasing South African Social Security Company (SASSA) services for the duration of an engagement with all the agency's senior managers in a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
Of the 724 156 full-time learners who registered to the National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% of the registered pupils during the schooling sector.
These learners attained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
